Steve Shirley is in the Lincolnshire Echo with the head line "Steve's SOS call to save unique fire collection". The article goes in to the need of a change of location for the museum and mentions his many fire engines.

Steve Shirley receives a MBE! He got this honour due to his services to the RAF Fire Service, in recognition for outstanding contribution as deputy R.E.S.T. commander for south Yorkshire during Op Fresco, for work in the local community and also tireless work for the museum, which, although a private collection, is recognised internationally. For which I feel I speak for everyone when I say congratulations to him for his excellent achievement.
